Virginia Climate
The climate of Virginia can be described as mild in comparison to most of the US. Virginia bicyclists certainly bike year-around, but April through November are the prime months. It can be humid during the daytime in the “heat” of the summer, but the nights are cooler and less “sticky.” Of course, it is less humid and cooler west of the mountains as compared to the east. In fact, the average is 5 degrees cooler all four seasons in the western part of the state.
